Diaz is reportedly currently single. Along with having a fruitful profession, Rocsi Diaz has also been romantically associated with a variety of interesting people. Growing up in New Orleans, she started her career as a host on 97.9 The Beat, the most popular urban radio station in the city. The Boston radio station Hot 97.7 took note of Rocsi’s distinctive, street-smart approach, and she subsequently began working there as a DJ. In 2004, she moved to Chicago, where she worked as a noon DJ at Power 92 WPWX-FM, earning the moniker “The Midday Mami.” Diaz participated in the 2000 season of MTV’s Fear as a competitor. AJ Calloway and Free left BET on July 28th, 2005, and were replaced by Big Tigger and Julissa Bermudez. Following their breakup, Rocsi and Terrence J were appointed co-hosts of BET’s 106 & Park on July 6, 2006. The show is seen by more than 85 million people in the US, UK, Canada, Africa, the Caribbean, and Japan.
She appeared on the MTV Video Music Awards Japan, where she and co-host Terrence J shot the footage for the premiere. Even though she only featured in TV cutscenes and not in combat, Rocsi made an appearance in Def Jam: Icon in 2007 as a BET News correspondent. On November 19, 2012, Diaz began working for Entertainment Tonight as a daily contributor and weekend co-host. On September 17, 2014, Diaz was fired from the programme, and CNN’s Nischelle Turner was hired to take her place. On January 23, 2015, CNN’s HLN hired Diaz. She is the Los Angeles contributor for their 12–5 p.m. EST time slot programme The Daily Share.
