Hunter wed Janusz Kaminski, a well-known cinematographer who had previously shot “Saving Private Ryan” and “Schindler’s List,” in 1995. After their divorce in 2001, Hunter started dating British actor Gordon MacDonald, whom she had met while they were both involved in the San Jose Repertory Theatre’s production of the play “By the Bog of Cats.” Hunter was portraying a woman who had been dumped by her lover, who was played by MacDonald.
