Lily started dating the well-known musician Ed Simons in September of that year, but their relationship ended five months later. She did, however, experience despair following the breakup and spent three weeks at a mental health facility. She started dating Sam Cooper, a builder and decorator by trade, in July of 2009. She announced her pregnancy with Sam’s child on August 5, 2010, but six months later, she contracted a viral infection that caused her to still give birth, and as a result, she developed post-traumatic stress disorder. She became engaged in December 2010 and wed on June 11th, 2011. Her first daughter, Ethel Mary, was born in 2011, and her second daughter, Marnie Rose, was born a few years later. After the birth of both daughters, she experienced postpartum depression. She admitted in her book, “My Thoughts Exactly,” that she had an affair with well-known musician Liam Gallagher when he was wed to well-known actress and singer Nicole Appleton.
