Warner is a Virginia-based senior senator from the United States and a successful businessman. In 1989, he wed Lisa Collis, whom he had met in Washington, D.C., at a fraternity party. Warner became ill in 1989 while they were in Greece and Egypt on their honeymoon. He had a fatal burst appendix, the doctor learned after they left. He needed two months to fully recuperate. Career
Mark participated in civic initiatives in the areas of healthcare, telecommunications, and education. In the early 1990s, Warner also worked for the Virginia Commonwealth Transportation Board. Warner declined to run for a Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, citing personal obligations to his family. By receiving 65% of the vote, he defeated Gilmore.
