While playing at Chaminade College Prep in 2016, Tatum won the Gatorade National Player of the Year and Mr. Show-Me Basketball accolades. After his birth, his mother decided to raise him by herself. His father, Justin, played basketball at “St. Louis University.” Later, he agreed to take a job in St. Louis at the “Christian Brothers College High School” as a basketball coach and gym teacher. Jayson Tatum won the NBA Skills Challenge in 2018, in addition to being named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and an NBA All-Star in 2020. He competed for the USA and took home gold at the FIBA U17 and U19 World Championships.

Jayson is a devout person. He was brought up in a Christian-leaning household. He has given all of his reputation and success to Jesus Christ. Jayson enrolled at “Duke University” in 2016. He missed a few games in the beginning of his first college season (2016–2017) due to a foot issue. In the end, he debuted in December 2016. He scored 10 points in his first game, helping his club defeat “Maine” with a victory. He regularly delivered over the following few weeks, helping his squad defeat top opponents like “Florida,” “Georgia Tech,” and “Miami.” The ‘Duke Blue Devils,’ his group, made it to the ‘ACC Tournament Championship’ finals in March 2017. The ‘Notre Dame Fighting Irish’ were defeated in the championship game by Duke, who went on to win. Jayson was a key contributor to his team’s victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds during the game.
