Personal Life
Cosby has been married to Camille since 1964, and they have five children together. Ennis, their 27-year-old son, was slain in an attempted robbery on the side of the interstate in January 1997 while changing a flat tyre. Ensa, their daughter, died in February 2018 while awaiting a kidney transplant due to renal disease. In 2016, Cosby’s attorneys revealed that he is now legally blind.

Cosby began performing stand-up comedy in Philadelphia clubs in 1961, and later at The Gaslight Café in New York City. Following that, he performed stand-up comedy in Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Washington, DC. Following his appearance on The Tonight Show in 1963, he released a string of popular comedy albums in the 1960s.
